Wedding Photography
My wedding photography has developed and continues to grow as I have found that my service is as much about establishing a genuine rapport with people as it is about capturing valued images for customers that preserve memories of you, your wedding day and your wedding guests for years to come and allow you to easily share these images with family and friends.
Who are my customers?
My wedding photography offering typically appeals to couples that are looking for value based service that provides them greater choice and control over the handling and re-production of their wedding photos. My services also appeal to couples that are interested in capturing both formal (posing wedding couple, wedding party, family, close friends in formal and informal settings) and candid/informal pictures from their wedding day.
What makes my services different from other wedding photographers?
I offer you “Choice and Control” when it comes to getting prints and/or enlargements of the images I capture for you on your wedding day. I turn over original and refinished full size digital images and grant you the right (via a signed Re-Production/Re-Print Release) to reproduce the digital images I captured. You can choose to print copies and different sizes on demand, allowing you direct control over managing the cost of printing pictures. I give you the ability to print or electronically share images for yourself or for family and friends on your terms.
I look for opportunities to leverage the cost of my time to bring more content and value to your wedding day photos by encouraging you and your guests to consider getting impromptu family portraits taken, especially for those families (visitors from out of town) who don’t offer have much opportunity to get group pictures taken anymore. Since I turn over wedding day images to you, you have the freedom to easily share these and other images with your guests either digitally or in print.
4” x 6” prints with personal content from your wedding day make add an extra special touch to the wedding thank you that you send to your guests.
Photo eScapes retains the right to freely use tasteful images from your wedding day in print and electronic form, to advance my photography business through portfolio presentations, website publishing, advertising and promotional campaigns.
What is my philosophy?
I’ve purposely positioned myself to be a more flexible, value oriented alternative to other bona fide business based wedding day photography services.
I understand the importance of selecting a photographer that works within your budget, fits with your personal chemistry and can fulfill your wedding day needs. Choosing a wedding photographer is just as critical as selecting any of the other service you are in need of to make your wedding day memorable.
I am not a pressure sales person. Your wedding is too important of a matter to make decisions that you or your fiancée are not comfortable with.
I firmly believe that if I do a great job for you and provide you with superior value, you will refer me to other acquaintances when they have a need for photography services that I offer.
What do you take photos of?
- Bride and Groom before wedding (getting ready, waiting, etc.)
- Wedding ceremony/service
- Formal/posed wedding pictures at one or more indoor or outdoor locations
- Wedding reception activities
- During 6 hours of wedding day coverage, I typically take over 1,000 photographs. You’ll net from 750 to 800 viable images.
What does a basic wedding photography package consist of?
- Wedding rehearsal coverage (helps me determine lighting and positioning to shoot from before the actual wedding ceremony)
- Wedding day photo coverage.
- I offer an optional assistant that helps me and the wedding party out throughout the day’s events.
- I meet with the wedding couple (you) before the wedding to go over detail plans for their wedding day and meet with them again after their wedding to drop off and review print and digital deliverables I provide.
- You receive 1 proof print set (subset of all digital images delivered) of original images 4″ x 6″ size (glossy or mat finish), in acid free photo albums (additional proof print sets can be provided to you at an extra charge).
- You receive full sized original and refinished digital images from proof print set as well as all other viable images not printed in proof set and wedding rehearsal organized on a DVD.
- You receive a signed Re-Production/re-Print Release form that grants you full rights to manipulate/print wedding day images I capture and turnover to you. This release should eliminate objections a photo finisher might raise when they’re asked to print any images I provide you with from your wedding day.
- You receive sampling of image proof prints converted to black & white.
- You receive sampling of refinished/touched up versions of proof print images.
- You receive sampling of enlargement print(s) of refinished proof print image(s).
- You receive reduced size versions of all original images that are ready-to-go for compact slide show review or for e-mail use
How much do your services cost?
Cost for base services is usually determined by the number of hours of “wedding day” photo coverage I provide. Price will vary based on variables such as wedding day locations, size of wedding party and other factors that increase my cost/effort to provide you with basic wedding photography services.
I don’t try to sell you an expensive wedding album, print enlargements or other fancy frills as a part of my base wedding photography services. I do offer optional services to provide for such things as refinishing/touching of selected images or putting together a formal wedding album if you wish at an extra agreed to cost.
How are the wedding day photos captured?
I capture all images in digital form using high quality advanced digital SLR cameras and lenses. The digital images I capture are suitable for 11″ x 14″, 16” x 20” up to 20” x 30” size quality print enlargements without compromising picture quality/sharpness. All digital images are captured in color. Any color image can be converted to a black and white on your own or through my optional refinishing services.
Digital images are easily shared either through print or electronic media. Digital images can be directly refinished (touched up) through the use of powerful, versatile and affordable computer based photo finishing software packages which are widely available to the general public
What is my wedding photography approach/style?
I prefer to conduct myself as a photojournalist when covering your wedding. I will attempt to blend into the background (I do not need or want to become the center of attention) while looking to capture candid quality images of you and your guests throughout your wedding day. I will pose people throughout the day, as discussed ahead of time with you, and I will accommodate impromptu requests to do so throughout your wedding day.
I do not want to orchestrate, stage or choreograph photo events throughout your entire wedding day. I am not a gimmicky kind of photographer.
I strive to develop a genuine rapport with you and your wedding guests, which will hopefully allow me more opportunities to capture genuinely candid and personal images from your wedding day.
I continually strive to capture different perspectives throughout the wedding day that you and your family and friends will cherish for a lifetime.
What extra/optional photography services are available?
I do offer optional photography services at an extra cost. This is meant to allow you (the wedding couple) the opportunity to manage the cost of post wedding photography services (e.g. formal wedding album, enlargements, etc.) that you may prefer to do on your own (at your cost and time) or with a varying degree of assistance from me.
If you are interested in these optional services and goods please contact me for the details.
